Scott Madson is the founder and Director of United Democracies. Mr Madson is a graduate of the prestigious University of Chicago with a Masters in social science: history, international studies and political science. As a young man, Mr. Madson had experience as an ambulance medic as well as a theater background. Mr. Madson has been an Adjunct Professor of History and has a lifetime of experience studying the the history of democracy and the fight for individual liberty
Mr. Madson was inspired by a family that was active in the victory against tyranny in The Second World War including an uncle who landed in Normandy, France and fought in the infamous liberation of Europe invasion on D-Day.
Scott Madson's father. John Madson, enlisted in The United States Army the day after the vicious surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. John Madson then fought both the Japanese Army and the Communist insurgents in Burma and Southeast Asia throughout The Second World War. And a mother, Lela Foster Daniels Madson who supported the troops on the homefront with her young son Kenneth by working at Airforce military plants throughout the Second World War. Mr. John Scott Madson has a heritage of family who also were abolitionists, fought in The American Civil War, and ancestors who fought and supported the American Revolution including Betsy Ross and John Claypoole. Today, the continuing mission of freedom worldwide is at the heart of United Democracies
